Join us for an exciting 5-day sculpture course designed for those new to Clay Yorkshire, offering the perfect introduction to contemporary sculpture in a supportive and inspiring studio environment.

This course is led by professional sculptors Rebecca Appleby and James Oughtibridge, who will guide you through essential hand-building techniques, surface treatments, and creative processes—helping you develop your skills and produce a personal, ambitious sculpture.

• A comprehensive introduction to key ceramic sculpture techniques
• Daily demonstrations from both tutors
• One-to-one support, personalised feedback, and expert tuition
• Plenty of time to explore and develop your own ideas into a finished sculpture

Special Feature – Day 2:

We’ll take a guided research trip to the Yorkshire Sculpture Park, one of the UK’s leading sculpture destinations. Surrounded by inspirational works from world-renowned artists, we’ll explore the grounds and enjoy a relaxing lunch at The Weston, a beautifully designed restaurant serving modern British cuisine.
